Fake or not ?
I had a long conversation with Kevin from Zogdog forum, which has a nice blog on Revolution news. He wrote an article, on how he tried to see if i'm fake or not. Now, read his article that he kindly proposed to me to copy/paste here, and make YOUR opinion.
It's the question that most Revolution conspiratist are asking. Is N5_Dev fake or real? Showing up in August, Nv_Dev oppened up a blog and claimed to know the very secrets of the Revolution. Within the same day many people made up their minds that N5_Dev was fake. Specially when showing a picture of the ON and calling it a prototype to the Revolution. However N5_Dev had joined the ZogDog forums? and posted that the controller was going to be in two parts. Once piece to move the character around and the other to aim. Most people wrote him off as fake. However come TGS he was found to be corrected. Recent news from N5_Dev about Zelda: Twilight Princess being compatable with the Revolution controller and the mentioning of an MMORPG came true. Zelda: Twilight Princess was confirmed to be playable with the Revolution controller and Reggie gives strong hints about MMORPG's.
Just a lucky coincidence you might think. So did I. I was lucky to score a few conversations with him on messenger and just tonight I got the bright idea to test his identity. How so? He claimed to have lived between Japan, France and the US so why not give him some small tests? I first asked him what languages he knows. He told me French and English. I gave him a few short text messages to translate from French to English (including some text in a picture) and he was able to do it. I asked him who the Prime Minister of France was and again guessed right. So I figured well maybe he just got lucky and really just lives in France. So I asked him who the Prime Minister of Japan was and again quickly he guess right. Could he have looked them up? Well it took him about 20 seconds to respond so I don't think so. It took me quite a bit longer to look up the answers. Also I would say that the average Revolution fan would not know the answers to those questions. I didn't before I looked them up. I asked him the time and in a European form he gave me the time quickly.
OK so there is no way to prove his identity 100% but I have been unable to prove him wrong and I can not outsmart him. We had a three way conversation and he answered every question very well without stumbling or slowing down. We had about an hour long chat today inwhich more then 50 new questions where asked and answered. He was very kind the entire time and even had a European way of talking and had poor English which is understandable for it being a second language. I just can't out smart him. He has offered to play some DS WiFi games with him online so I am thinking about picking them up so we can play. If I am lucky perhaps I can get to actually talk to him over the microphone. I am not one to believe these blogs but I must admit he has answered everything I threw at him very well and he definitely knows his French. I didn't give him enough time to even look up the answers so it does seem he actually knows.
Some of the people who read my blog may get mad at me for making this post and giving into the hype. Everyones been so anti-ON that just recently a guy actually threatened to kill someone who mentioned it on GameSpot. He was eventually modded. I mean people go crazy over the very mention of it. I have for the longest time thought it was fake and right now I sit here with uncertainty. N5_Dev just seems to real to be fake. I will not post the conversation online as requested by N5_Dev so don't ask to see it. I really don't know what to think. IF he is fake then he is by far the best fake I have ever seen. He was at the very least accurate on his character background and he does know French. He wanted to make that very clear throughout our conversation. I will most likely have quite a few more chats with N5_Dev so if ayone has any questions send them to me (preferably in the comments section below this post).

il faut dire que j'ai un anglais exécrable !
tout d'abord, c'est un des rares blogs avec celui de no end soon que je suis régulierement, de part sa crédibilité et sa cohérence.
Il y a un truc qui me chagrine avec Zelda. Je comprends bien qu il faut un peu de temps pouradapter le jeu aux commandes de la Revolution mais quand on voit que la demo de metroid prime 2 a été adapté en seulement 2 semaines, comment justifier un report de 5 mois.
N y a t il pas autre chose à esperer à propos de Zelda (graphisme)?
Is there anymore secret about Zelda on Revolution ?

Tu crois vraiment qu'il est part dune campagne publicitaires ou juste parseque il a fait un vidéo qui se ressemble beaucoup a un prototype de la Revolution?

Can you we see your answers to the list of questions?
If anyone has any questions that you think could disprove N5 from being real then send them my way and I will ask him. Though you got to think of stuff that have nothing to do with certain things like his job. I tried asking him questions about France and Japan and he got them correct even offering to answer more questions about those two countries if I had any more questions. I can't think of anything to disprove him from being real. I am hoping that perhaps he can take a picture of something Revolution related and give it to me and I can confirm whether or not he is fake or real. If he does do that though I will not post it online and I will keep it cofidential. Anyways heres for hoping. :) Also I am looking forward to the N5 finishing up the list of questions I sent him last week. Quite a few interesting ones in there as well. Again if anyone can think of a way to disprove him then let me know. I can't think of anything.

well kevin the answers about the prime ministers could be looked up in seconds if you have google toolbar which im sure most people do. i dont know what other questions you asked but 20 seconds seems like a long time to answer questions about leaders of a country if you live their.
It's true. I was time testing him as well and yes he could have looked up the answers to the questions. At the very least he does know French which he originally claimed. I am looking for any questions people might have that could possibly debunk him. Send them my way via ZogDog and I will ask him them.
Pour répondre brièvement à tout le monde, Zelda TP contiendra de nouveaux passages, outre le gameplay amélioré avec le controlleur de la Revolution. Et ça prend donc plusque deux semaines pour rajouter de nouvelles scènes, mini-jeux, etc...
Mais j'aimerais qu'on en finisse avec le débat "fake ou pas". J'ai eu droit à je ne sais plus combien de questions tests, etc, et je n'ai pas été mis en défaut. Je pense que ça suffit désormais. A ceux qui croient que je racontre n'importe quoi, tant mieux pour eux :-) Qu'ils passent leur chemin.
Au sujet de Pablo, il a bien réalisé la vidéo (mais pas seul). Le contexte de sa réalisation en revanche sera révélé plus tard.
Enfin, je ne vais pas m'amuser à aller sur MSN avec tout le monde... Et d'une, je n'ai pas que cela à faire, et de deux je n'ai aucune "obligation" de répondre à qui que ce soit.
Un brin ce politesse n'a jamais tué personne, et peu de gens sur ce blog l'ont compris... Ce n'est pas à ce genre de personnes que je répondrai en priorité.

Moi j'ai une question qui m'est apparut pendant la nuit (et oui la nuit porte conseil mes frères ^^)
Si jamais Nintendo ON est mit en place alors la plupart des jeux seront adapter pour le casque ? Et dans ce cas la manette de la révolution ne servira pas, ou peu dans les jeux de la Révolution, car il me parait dur de pouvoir contrôler les deux en même temps !
Je voulais aussi revenir à la vidéo de Pablo, Surtout le passage où l'homme marche avec le casque (Le casque envois l'information au "cerveau" pour ensuite revenir au casque) Le problème est le suivant, faudra-t-il des pièces immense pour pouvoir jouer à la Nintendo Révolution ? Car le concept de marché pour jouer et vraiment époustouflant mais à des risque (Je vais aller tout dr... BAFFFFF *Le mur de la chambre*)

vous m'avez fait changer radicalement d'avis sur le Nintendo ON, et j'ai franchement envie de vous croire, et je pense que la news que j'ai fait sur ous sur www.liverevo.fr (bientôt en ligne) convaincra d'autres personnes.:D
J'ai juste quelques petites questions :
On a parlé récemment sur certains sites de jeux vidéo du fait que la Revo serait en post-production, et donc probablement prête à être commercialisée aux alentours de mai, au moment de l'E3. Est-ce vrai ? Qu'en sera-t-il pour la distribution en Europe ?
Est-ce que les rumeurs sur le hardware de la Revo parues début décembre sont vraies (arhitecture proche de celle du GC, 104mo de 1T-RAM...) ?

en fait ce qui me plait avec ce blobeaucoup de détails sur la Revolution (enfin un peu quand meme) mais surtout de dialoguer avec une personne impliquée dans un projet de cette envergure.
en fait, j'aimerai savoir comment tu vis cette aventure ? je veux dire que ça ne doit pas etre simple tous les jours ?
ressents tu une pression constante ?
es tu pleinement satisfait de l'orientation qu à pris le projet Revolution ?
quel est brievement ton parcourt professionnel (sans rentrer dans les détails evidement ;) je ne te demanderai pas l'adresse des écoles que tu as faites)?
crois-tu qu'un jour tu pourras parler à visage découvert de cette épopée (une fois la console sortie) ?
bonne continuation et bon courage, ça ne doit pas etre facile au vu des résultats attendus !
One thing i want to know is why the design of the ON and the Revolution is so diffrent? The ON being round and white while the Revolution is black and angular. I'am refering to this video that you said was real "http://www.sendover.com/RFBN-2I-GVQ9"

Toad, to respond to your question about the delay of TP, from what I've heard, they are not only trying to masterfully complete this game, but also they are implementing a new graphics engine. I heard that everything we've so far was just a build and that they decided to change the graphics (don't worry -- towards more realism).
Implementing new controls, a new graphics engine, and eliminating any gameplay flaws could easily take 5 months.
If this game turns out to be the most incredible Zelda game ever, or any game for that matter, it will have been well worth the wait.
