A game is over, the final wait begins !
Hi everyone !I got news for you today. I never worked on Revolution. I never worked for Nintendo. So, you will ask, why did i do this blog ? There are three main reasons :
- I wanted to prove how easy it is to spread false information on the internet.
- I wanted to study reactions of people to rumours and how people make their own interpretation of them.
- To show how easy it is to "predict" things that you don't know, and how people turn facts into something compatible with "predictions", like this is the case with mediums for example... Furthermore, people often only remember about matching events, and not about non-matching events. Everyone has noticed i had announced the Revolution Controller in his design. But very few had note that i did a big mistake in its description, which is that the two parts would be motion sensitive, which is obviously not the case. People only remember what the positive part. Like when a medium does 10 predictions, if only 1 really happens, you'll say "Wow, he predicted it". When you make a certain amount of predictions, some of them are always true at the end !
So you'll ask : "But how did you know all this stuff about the controller, the MMORPG, new features of Zelda and stuff ?". Very simple : i knew nothing. I'm only a Nintendo fan since i'm 9 years old. I think Revolution will be a true revolution of gaming, and make me fill like in front of my NES the very first time, on Christmas day. I follow very closely every information related to Revolution and i was often wondering : "What could be intersting from Nintendo to do ?". And i thought. One day i was thinking about it, i thought "It would be amazing for example if the new Zelda, which has been delayed, could use the new controller." Another day, as i'm a RPG fan, i thought "How great it could be if wizards could sommon spells with moves, formulas and so on !". So, i'm only a good "gesser" let's say.
This blog will remain open, and i'll update it with news and personal articles on Nintendo Revolution. I hope that you won't blame me for having shared a dream with you, and i hope you'll keep following my blog even if i'm a 'fake'. Finally, i hope that you enjoyed reading my blog, and that you are not too much disappointed ;-) Personal message for Kevin from Zogdog : my identity is fake, but my friendship for you is true, mon cher :-)

J'ai du nouveau pour vous aujourd'hui. Je n'ai jamais travaillé sur la Revolution. Je n'ai jamais travaillé pour Nintendo. Alors, vous demanderez-vous,
pourquoi ai-je fait ce blog ? Il y a trois principales raisons :
- Je voulais montrer combien il est facile de répandre des informations errronées sur Internet.
- Je voulais étudier la réaction des gens face aux rumeurs, et comment ces gens se font leur propre interprétation de ces rumeurs.
- Pour montrer enfin combien il est aisé de "prédire" des choses que vous ne savez pas, et comment les gens transforment des faits en quelque chose de compatible avec les "prédictions", comme cela peut être le cas avec les voyants par exemple... De plus, les gens ne se souviennent souvent que de événements qui arrivent effectivement, et pas ceux qui ont été prédits et qui n'arrivent pas. Tout le monde a bien noté que j'avais correctement prédit le design du controlleur de la Revolution. En revanche, seules quelques très rares personnes ont vu que j'avais commis une grosse erreur dans sa description, qui est que les deux parties seraient sensibles au mouvement, ce qui n'est évidemment pas le cas. Les gens ne se souviennent que des prédictions positives. Comme quand un voyant vous fait 10 prédictions, si une seule se révèle exacte, alors vous vous direz "Wouaw, il l'avait prédit!". Quand vous faites un certain nombre de prédictions, il y en a toujours des correctes au final !
Alors vous vous demanderez sûrement : "Mais comment savais-tu pour la manette, le MMORPG, les nouvelles fonctionnalités de Zelda et le reste ?". C'est très simple : je ne savais rien. Je suis un fan de Nintendo depuis l'âge de 9 ans. Je pense que la Revolution sera une vraie révolution de notre manière de jouer, et qu'elle me fera revenir en arrière en ce jour de Noël où j'ai eu ma NES et où je l'ai allumée pour la première fois. Je suis de très près l'actualité de la Révolution, et je me demandais souvent : "Qu'est-ce qu'il serait intéressant de faire pour Nintendo ?". Et je réfléchissais. Un jour où j'y pensais, je me suis dit "Ce serait excellent si dans le nouveau Zelda, qui a été retardé, on pouvait utiliser les capacités uniques de la manette". Un autre jour, comme j'adore les RPG, je me suis dit "Et si dans un jeu, les magiciens pouvaient lancer un sort avec des mouvements spéciaux et des formules !". Je n'ai qu'une bonne intuition dirons-nous.
Ce blog restera ouvert, et je le mettrai à jour avec des news et des articles personnels sur la Revolution. J'espère que vous ne m'en voudrez pas d'avoir partagé un rêve avec vous, et j'espère que vous continuerez à suivre mon blog même si je suis un 'fake'. Enfin, j'espère que vous avez aimé ce blog, et que n'êtes pas trop déçus ;-) Un message personnel pour Kevin de Zogdog : mon identité est fausse, mais mon amitié pour toi est sincère, mon cher :-)

I think a lot of people wanted a Visor. N5_Dev you made an excellant fake and it took me a long time to finally catch you with those SDK price questions. :)
If you were trying to 'study' effects, you did a very poor job. I will show you.

We chalked that up to translation or fast typing error. What was interesting was that you did get the motion sensing, one handed controller correct along with 'aiming it like a FPS'.

And people like to create accomplishments when there are really none there. What you said was so vague, it prompted others to dig deeper and find certain information.
Pretty much, all that you said was true. But I doubt you will put that in your 'study'. Why? Because you are projecting your own intentions on us. We did not selectively ignore anything you said. Rather, you are selectively ignoring elements that do not make your study true. For example, you never gave intentionally false information. Anything that was already shown true, has a possibility of becoming true. This invalidates your study. A validation of the study depends on putting out intentional false information in hopes that people will turn it into truth. This never happened because you never gave out anything that was intentionally flawed, but always things that had a strong possibility of coming true.
In other words, N5_dev wasted a lot of time. And we, got delightfully entertained. Thanks N5_dev!
Here is a nice collection of some of what was said...
-After TGS, N5_dev said that the entire controller had not been unveiled. Miyamoto then says the same at December 2.
-That the ON was a prototype concept. Perhaps. Nintendo surely plays around with prototypes.
-Zelda TP will use the new Revolution controller. This is hotly rumored even now.
-Revolution name and url (www.nintendors.com) will be unveiled at D.I.C.E. Actually, this is a possibility. And 'RS' as the name is also a good possibility.
-MMORPG? Reggie already talked about it which shows Nintendo wants to go that path. Something that already came true.
If you notice, N5_dev deliberately chose HIGHYLY PLAUSIBLE 'statements' for his "study". What does this mean?
It means N5_dev doesn't know how to do studies or that he is not being as forthcoming in this post as he ought to be.
How can anything be so 'scientific' if it is so biased towards plausibility where MUCH of what you said has already come true?
But you quickly went way off course when you spoke French (after declaring yourself Japanese) and saying that Mr. INC was real (when it was obvious he was fake from day 1.)
I told Kevin to not even listen to what you had to say once you started speaking French. But then again, I 'talk too much', so I now know why you didn't want me in on the real-time chats. ;)
:) This is not a scientific study i've tried to made, only a kind of experiment. A very informal thing ;) I planified nothing, i just wanted to see how things were going to happen.

Thank you for letting a lot of people believe that the "ON" whas real... I didn't know if it whas true or not but I did get confused because you had some stuff right before.
If you did this only for your 'experiment' then I say to you: Why don't you do something more meaningfull with your life instead of trying to fool people.
But this is only my opinion ofcourse, I don't have anything against you now that you've 'unveiled' yourself, I just find it a waste.

et bien tant pis si tout ceci n'était qu'un fake. apres tout, il aura eu le mérite d'avoir été plutot cohérent. en tout cas j y ai bien cru. ;)
je pense que finalement beaucoup de personnes risquent d etre déçu que le 3ieme secret ne soit pas des lunettes 3D.
je continuerai à venir ici voir les nouveaux messages que tu posteras, par respect envers ta maitrise du sujet.

Personnellement, j'espère justement que le 3ème aspect révolutionnaire ne soit pas un casque de réalité virtuelle. Nintendo va une fois de plus surprendre tout le monde.

suffisait de voir comment t'as mal reagi aux commentaires disant que t'es un fake, tu l'as pris personnel, et t'as pas su la jouer detache. Pendant que tu y etais, t'aurais pu leur faire croire tout ce que tu voulais.. Bref, j'aurais quand meme aime voir un viseur rouler a l'E3, ce qui n'est pas exclu du tout, il faut le preciser.
En tout cas, c'etait assez bien joue, asseas coherent faut l'admettre, mais bon.. Je doute FRANCHEMENT que nous serons TOUS tres decus de la 3eme fonctionalite de la revo. Pourtant un casque semblait etre une eventualite sensee, malgre les efforts de simplification des jeux de la part de nintendo.
N5_dev, bien que je clamait ton imposture, je revais de la ON aussi, tout comme toi j'imagine. Mais soyons realistes et surtout arretons de croire au pere noel. La revolution de nintendo n'aura que l'impact d'une greve de la CGT, et pas plus. Baissons nos attentes et la surprise ne sera pas mauvaise (mais gardez une place pour la ON).

great job n5. i was a semi-believer, and you are by far the best "fake" i've ever seen. I would love to interview you on my upcoming podcast (I was actually planning to before you revealed this). I was actually waiting for this post, but in any case thanks for some great ideas and hope.

That's EXACTLY what I said you were doing! LOL
Anyway, I very much enjoyed watching these kids absolutely refute the idea that you were a fake, despite otherwise proof being provided.
The intentions you listed are funny. You made a mockery out of the fan base - that sounds bad, but I think, in the long run, it's good for the fanboys to experience this so they stop blindly following random bloggers.
There has not been one single blogger that claims himself as a developer to be proven true. They're all fakes. I hope you guys realize this.
Wait for E3 for the truth.

je sais que vous allez me prendre pour un fou,et surtout toi n5,mais depuis ce dernier posts,j'ai encore plus confiance en toi,je m'explique ,je suis peut etre totalement givé et cinglé,mais peut etre pas .a mon avis,tu en avais simplement marre de tous les boulets qui rodaient autour de ce blog ,donc t'as eu une asser bonne idée ma foi ;) .t'as posté un topic tres interessant qui disait "gameover" ,ce qui laisse a douter de ta fiabilité,et paf, deux semaines apres,tu dis que tu es un fake,mais pourquoi maintenant,tu aurais pu nous roulé encore pendant de nombreuses semaines a mon avis,et surtout,je suis desolé mais tes arguments (les derniers qui concistent a nous faire croire que tu es un fake) ne sont pas assez travaillés,vois tu je n'arrive pas a y croire,je ne te fais pas confiance a cent pour cent,mais je suis sur que tu sais bien plus de choses que nous,tu n'es certainement pas un developeur,mais ce qui est sur,c'est que tu es vachement bien informé :) ,donc je continu,tu as fait tout ca juste pour eloigner les boulets qui ne te faisaient pas confiance de ce blog,donc tu gardes les plus fideles et ceux qui te font le plus confiance et les quelques amis tel kevin ,enfin voila voici mon idée ,mais ne t'inquiete pas j'ai fais expres d'ecrire en francais pour que ca ne soit pas tout le monde qui puisse lire ce post :)

Si j'étais le bloggeur le plus crédible sur le mystère révolution, si je pouvais faire rêver des milliers d'internautes en 3 lignes, est-ce que du jour au ledemain je m'annoncerais fake 3mois avant la présentation de la révo alors que j'ai mis des mois à acquérir ma crédibilté?
--> hum hum Si tout ce blog était monté sur la simple envie d'étudier et de montrer des réactions humaines, alors N5 t'as pas du apprendre grand chose : des gens espèrent d'autres non. En tous cas tout le monde connaît déjà l'ampleur des rumeurs.
Tu peux à nouveau effacer ton article et bloquer les coms.
PS : N'oublie pas de téléphoner à la direction marketing de Nintendo pour que le nom RS ne soit pas dévoilé en Février...
